Every year over 3.5 million pilgrims travel to Saudi on Hajj. This is a huge potential audience for Arab News to attract and engage with and we have created products and innovative content targeting this audience.

  • Designed a souvenir cover wrap with an aerial photo of Mecca taken from a helicopter booked specifically for the shoot. Including a comprehensive guide to Hajj. 

  • Created a Hajj App in 4 weeks. It had basic functionality, but interesting features included a Hajj tracker, so family members could map your progress and Qibla compass.

  • Distributed branded merchandise during the pilgrimage such as the Arab News umbrella.

  • Produced a Hajj hard backed book to distributer to dignitaries and readers.
